Project Meeting Geschwister Scholl Schule Konstanz

Vom 8. 4. – 13.4. 2019 fand in Konstanz ein EU Projekttreffen statt. Inhaltlich wurde an interkulturellen Themen gearbeitet. Die Teilnehmer verglichen Vorurteile, die über Deutschland, Österreich, Italien, Tschechien und Polen existieren und statistisch überprüft. Die Schüler erarbeiteten Befragungen und werteten sie mit Hilfe von EXCEL aus.
Da das Programm das Welterbe und das kulturelle Verständnis behandelt wurde ein Stadtrundgang und eine Führung beim Fastnachtsverein zum immateriellen Erbe durchgeführt. Als UNESCO Welterbestätte wurden die neolithischen Pfahlbauten in Unterhuldingen besucht. Als barocke Sehenswürdigkeiten konnten die Teilnehmer die Blumeninsel Mainau und das Schloss Meersburg besuchen. Beeindruckend bezüglich Demokratieerziehung war eine Simulation einer Stadtratssitzung in Konstanz mit Vertretern der Stadtregierung.

Programme

8.4. Arrival day
After the train journey from Wels to Konstanz we took the public bus to the Geschwister Scholl Schule where we met the other participating teams from the Czech Republic, Poland, Sicily, Slowenia and Germany. The pupils were picked up by their host families and the teachers were guided through the old centre of Konstanz to get a first impression of the town.

We teachers took the public bus to our hosting school where we were welcomed by the headmaster at 7.50. In the morning we, the teachers as well as the pupils were working on the project in small groups. After lunch in the cafeteria we, teachers and pupils, had a guided tour through Konstanz which ended in front of the Cathedral with a town quiz.The pupis were asked to prepare surveys.

At 7.50 we all met at school to take the public bus and boat to Meersburg and Unteruhldingen, a world heritage site, where we visited the castle and the pile dwellings.
We teachers and pupils had to work on surveys and reports after our return.

We met at school at 7.50, took the bus to the university of Konstanz where we had a guided tour by an experienced student and the head of the international office.
After this visit we walked to the island Mainau, the flower island, another very popular, beautiful and well known world heritage site. In the evening the pupils had to present their surveys.

We took the bus to town, visited the weekly market, had a reception at the town hall which was followed by a simulation of a town council meeting in which students had to discuss and make a decision.
In the afternoon we were welcomed by a representative of the carnival guild base in the Schnetztorturm.
In the evening we had a final meeting at school with host parents and teachers where pupils were asked to give their presentations, were awarded prizes for the photo competition and received their participation documents.

13.4. Departure day. Train journey back to Wels.
